Like an idiot, I'm happily trying "Robert the Bruce", "Robert Bruce", King Robert and all the variables. "Scottish" or "the Scottish" does not describe the Scottish people. People from Scotland are Scots. Scottish is an adjective not a noun. "The English" is a noun usually only used in Scotland as a derogatory term for folks from South of the border sometimes enhanced with an adjective between "The" and "English".

Attlee may be correct, but it is exceedingly ungenerous not to allow Chamberlain. And some of us learned to spell her name Boadicea.

Strictly speaking, the EU did not exist before 1992. The UK joined the European Communities (commonly known as the Common Market) in 1973.

You should accept "Abolition of the Slave Trade"

The UK joined the EU when Parliament passed the Maastricht Treaty in 1993. In 1973, the UK joined the European Economic Community (EEC), with the following year seeing a referendum on whether we should stay in or withdraw.

Great quiz on a broad range of historical eras.

However, the question on Bannockburn is somewhat unclear. Perhaps add the leader of the victors as an answer, or specify in the question that you are looking for their nationality.

Hope you will create a part two in the future.
