US States Quiz by Non-Repeating Letters

How does this quiz work? For Example, Neptune has the N repeating. It would therefore be Eptue. It also has the E repeating. Therefore: Ptu. Of course, we aren't doing planets. We are doing the US states! Good Luck!
Huge thanks to Dimby for spotlighting this!

I get what you're going for here but nothing about this quiz makes sense.

This is actually a really fun quiz that is surprisingly hard. I had to figure out what the goal was through trial and error. It would REALLY help to give some examples. For instance, Canada becomes Cnd. Russia becomes Ruia. Japan becomes Jpn. Etc. once I knew what I was shooting at it was pretty fun and lateral thinking to solve it. I also think it might need a tad more time. At least for me it was quite the mental task removing those letters mentally (I might be able to do it no problem on a computer instead of a phone, though).

Thank you! I made another quiz like this (Countries) and I included an example there. I forgot to do that here. I will increase the time as well.

I think you have Tennessee as “contains” T and not “starts with” T.

Fixed, thanks! Forgot the ^

Also, Earlier I when said I" made another quiz like this (countries)", I said that because I didn't see your Username.

Heya. I chose this quiz. I like the concept, it’s satisfying to see the map change, and it’s super challenging to do the letter elimination in your head. I chose this over the countries of the world because I think 196 countries is a ton of mental processing, especially since names like Bosnia and Herzegovina make things a bit muddled for this concept. Anyway, congrats, I hope this gets lots of takes from the spotlight. :)

P.S. I have nicknamed this quiz “US States - Delete the Repeats”. Anyway, well done!

Thank you so much! Yeah no US state is that long and complicated, and I understand your pick.

I am so excited to get a spotlight. I have got another recently 2/4/23, and it got me more views than I could've even thought of. Hopefully this will do the same. Thank you! I will update the caveats.

I could change the name to that if you wish?

Tennessee isn’t fixed… anything containing T works for it, including just T itself.

You also seem to have all the regexs on contains… this is really annoying as when I go to delete letters after writing out the state correctly, it accepts it sometimes after i’ve only deleted one of the repeats.

An example would be “Kentucy” being accepted, when the answer should be “entucy”. (Kentucky is accepted though which is weird”

Rhode Island is also accepted in its regular form. Nevertheless it's a great quiz that implies some deep lateral thinking
