Not sure. Being 199,605 though, it's certainly close enough to 200k to be not excluded. That's 2018 too, in 2020 might be over 200k in actuality now. Overall just not worth resetting stats.
I'm not sure what your source is or what year the data is from, but, according to World Population Review, Huntsville is now bigger than Montgomery, making it the second biggest city in Alabama based on 2020 estimates. I'm not suggesting a correction so much as bragging about my home city of many years!
I believe for Alabama I used Cities in Alabama (Wikipedia). Though it's been 2 years since I made it. That article uses census data from 2010 though which is probably where it comes from.
It's not that big either, it does not even have 200,000 people and considering the demographics in the area, it's very unlikely it will get over this milestone in the near future.
Its 4th largest city is 90% the size of its largest.
