Made the mistake of trying to think of states near Louisiana for those included the Louisiana purchase; I had no idea it was such an enormous swathe of territory.

Pretty sure Michigan borders Canada, it worked for the first hint of the blue category.

Is Vermont not considered landlocked? Sure it borders Lake Champlagne but I didn't think lakes discounted states as being landlocked.

Vermont borders Canada so does not make it to the Landlocked clue.

This is regardless of how landlocked is defined. It does not satisfy the Canada clue and so is not valid for the landlocked one. That's how category eliminations work, it must satisfy all prior clues in that colour

I guessed Florida literally LAST second. I thought it would be Oklahoma, Illinois, Missouri, or South Dakota who would qualify for the certain spot. I completely forgot about Florida, until I remembered about Florida. Nice quiz, by the way!

Technically not relevant now, but after March 2024 Utah will no longer have their state name on their flag (as much as I want the new design to be official now)
