Countries Hidden in the World Map - Treasure Hunt

Oh no! There's only 15 countries left in the world and they've all gone into hiding! Can you find all 15 by clicking the map to zoom-in, revealing the countries?
Confused? There are 15 countries, and you have to name them. They will only appear when the map is zoomed in, so explore the map to find the countries then type in their names!

wow, fantastic! how did you do that? I think it would be nice if guessed answers also appeared when 'zoomed out' but I have no idea if that's doable

That is doable! But I wasn't sure whether or not that'd be a good idea or not? Perhaps I'll change it now and see :) It uses the fact that, when zoomed in, everything with a "border" class gets a "small-stroke" class attached to it! And then a little bit of svg:style changes allows the trickery

I've updated it now, it looks as if you're gradually "finding the countries", which I think is a look I'd like to keep! However unguessed answers will still remain "hidden" at the end as I don't want spoilers :)

I think it would benefit from having some kind of grid system in the zoom-out mode.

I didn't have much confidence in my clicking. I wasn't sure if I was going to be zooming-in on africa, the middle east, or europe- since I was just semi-blindly clicking in an ocean of blue. (It was hard to do what I wanted. For example, check egypt, then ghana, then back to egypt)

It was more irritating than fun for me. I need some kind of landmark, anchor, grid, etc. in zoom-out mode.

I'm glad other people are enjoying it

Yeah, I ran out of countries to identify because every time I clicked the same countries came up. I have no idea where I needed to click to bring up Europe.

This isn't great on mobile unfortunately, you have to scroll the picture horizontally which makes it hard to tell where you are when you click.

New Zealand appears to be broken. Didn't appear for me when clicking through that portion of the map during the game, and even after the game is over, it's not showing up in red.

It works for me, you have to zoom to see incorrect answers, and you have to zoom right in the bottom right corner to see New Zealand
