Florida is in the US! It can't visit itself!

Why not? I've been to Florida many times and I am from the USA.

Primarily because there's no border between Florida and its neighbouring states, so it would be impossible to track the number of people who actually visited the state. Even if you just tracked flights, you won't have to fill out a visa form or anything so it would be extremely difficult for the government to track who's visiting and who's coming back. Either way, if it was possible to track it would be at the top of the list for sure.

but then how do they track the number of tourists in the Schengen Area (Europe)? we don't need to do anything when we travel to other countries either

@Etanna bc they document the country you arrive in if you arrive from a non-Schengen country. For the Schengen Area, some countries have you stop at border patrol areas, but they don’t require passports. Other numbers are estimates.

Why does Mexico say by air only? Is this a way of saying not including illegal immigrants or is it just because it's difficult to keep track of those who enter by other methods?

The source is arrivals by airports only, so does not include anybody crossing the border (legally or otherwise) on foot or by car. The second source is Canada only which fixes this issue, but I could not find a Mexico only source.

Essentially it'll only disclude any Mexicans who didn't fly into the U.S. who's first intended destination is Florida.

Shocking that there are more visitors from the Netherlands, Spain, or Venezuela than come in from China or Japan... but I guess maybe this is because there are few direct flights to Florida from Asia, so they are counted as first visiting Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago, New York, or wherever their connecting flight is.

A lot of international visitors come for the Disneyworld parks. In China they have 2 of these and Japan 1. There is one in Paris, but Europeans are drawn to Florida for the weather as well and also its not too far to fly to.

And all 886,000+ from Brazil go to Disneyworld- all at once! LOL I went one October, suppose to be a slow time, and there were hundreds of school groups from Brazil there.

I had the same experience visiting Universal Studios in Florida. The entire place was packed with Brazilian high school sports teams. That's why I guessed Brazil first for this quiz.
