Shocked that Hawaii is not on the list.

Bit too far for us Europeans, usually two flights meaning 20+ hours on a typical journey each way. Much easier to get to mainland USA which is 7-12 hours.

What are they doing in new jersey, massachutess, illinois and georgia ??. After guessing the other ones in a row i had to think hard. Indeed expected hawaii, also lousisiana (mardi gras) and thought of mississippi and perhaps even alaska, after that i started random guessing but got nowhere.

hawaii might be a long way awsy, but so are many other places people travel to, australia, new zealand, bali etc. And it is not like hawaii is comparable with the rest of the usa in which case it would make sense to go to the closest place) but i guess people might go to the carribean a lot too instead of hawaii

Boston, Chicago, and Atlanta are world class cities, and Jersey's proximity to NYC definitely is what lands it on the list.

Many Europeans visit their American family.

For example Italians in New Jersey, Polish in Illinois (Germans are everywhere) and others in Georgia.
