England is only a small part of the island of Great Britain which , as you know, contains Scotland ,England and Wales. .These are islands that are part of England and associated with English counties only.

Some would suggest Barrow Island isn’t really an island, just reclaimed land.

You may be right, however it was originally an island until a small amount of reclamation joined it to the mainland, then the docks were built in the remaining gap.
