Given that there is a bridge between Malmo and Copenhagen and a tunnel between Folkstone and Calais, couldnt Sweden and Denmark, and UK and France count?

In other other countries, we have not counted these countries as bordering each other. I think we should stay consistent on this quiz.

I see the Dutch French land border from Saint Martin is taken into account. Perhaps a hint is needed: Includes borders from overseas territories

I would say that the Oresund bridge merely emphasizes the fact that there is no land border between Denmark and Sweden. That thing wouldn't be needed otherwise...

Challenge - complete with fewest letters typed (barring 'accepted spelling errors', however accepted abbreviation, e.g. "UK" are allowed). My best - 73 (Malta (5), Iceland (7), UK (2), Spain (5), Italy (5), France (5), Austria (6), Germany (7), Sweden (6), Serbia (6), Greece (6), Latvia (6), Moldova (7)) Set to un-timed to practice.

France has 6 letters, making the sum 74. This also makes it interchangeable with Monaco because of Spain and Germany.

But this quiz is about countries in Europe - even the map matches the instructions - and St Martin/Sint Maarten in in the Americas. I think it would be more accurate to leave out a Netherlands-France border from this quiz.

@Jerry928 Although your point is totally valid, I would argue that both countries are located in Europe (forgetting overseas territories) and there is still that border between those two countries located in Europe. And as you have obviously noticed, there is still a 'raging' argument about St Martin's 'urge' to be in the 'Countries Bordering France' quiz. I think because the instructions don't refer to overseas territories (for now!) we should leave it as it is unless I get many more arguing a similar point.

"there is still that border between those two countries located in Europe". Where is the border in Europe? The only place they border is , by technicality, in North America.

I'm going to argue against that because while France borders the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Netherlands featured in this quiz is only one of the constituent countries of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, thus France does not border the Netherlands. It borders St. Martin/The Kingdom of the Netherlands. From Wikipedia: Kingdom of the Netherlands From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia This article is about the sovereign state. For the constituent country with the same name, see Netherlands.

Read the instructions, it says type in a country and it fills in the countries that it borders on the map aswell. It isnt fill in a country by typing a country that borders it. Edit: it actually also even says (either after your comment or in anticipation of likewise comments) there are two countries that do not border another country. It is all but spelled out..
