I think there's some confusion here. Greenland, Iceland and others are not in Scandinavia. They are Nordic countries, but definitely not Scandinavian.

Wikipedia does agree: " Norwegian dependencies, including Svalbard and Jan Mayen, are usually not seen as a part of Scandinavia, nor is Danish Greenland"

True.

Here's what people often confuse:

Scandinavia: Norway, Sweden, Denmark

Scandinavian Peninsula: Norway, Sweden, parts of Finland

Nordic countries:

- Sovereign states: Scandinavia (Norway, Sweden, Denmark) + Finland, Iceland

- Overseas territories/other areas: Faroe Islands, Aland Islands, Greenland, Svalbard and Jan Mayen

Finnish is a Finno-Ugric language, not a Scandinavian language. Finland is a Nordic country though.

Ahh, I gave up on the last one missing, as I typed "Åland" and not "Åland Islands"... Maybe reason for a small change (accepting only "Åland")? I am from Norway myself, and have always thought of the islands as only "Åland".
