I got 84 but my spellings of nencini bottechia peririo buysse (2006 winner) and troussellier were all counted as incorrect. It is hard to remember some riders that you know though such as petit breton.

why don't you update this quiz?

and... Nencini (1960) doesn't work.

When you put Breton for lucien petit-breton it only registers one of them.

Completely wrong. Armstrong was stripped of all his wins, and officially has never won Le Tour.

Contador is correctly not listed as winner for 2010, so why is Armstrong still here?

The only one I got "right" was the guy who technically hasn't won...

I'm wondering if people actually follow bicycle racing.

Why do you keep Armstrong but not Contador's and Landis's title? They have all lost their wins the same, the only difference is that for Armstrong nobody has been declared the new winner.

Good point, added the other DQ'd riders back in.

Level 78

I think the right call would have been to take Armstrong out, which is what the official records of the tour do.
+2
Level 77
Oct 7, 2021
The official records are crap. Still don't get why Armstrong - who technically was never caught doping during the Tours he won, contrary to Floyd Landis for instance - was stripped of his wins, while guys like Pantani, Ullrich and Riis are still there. What is the difference? Except perhaps Lance was/is not a nice person, but that should have *nothing* to do with how the TDF organizers decide which riders can keep their wins and which riders can't.

I'm pretty sure Armstrong admitted that he used doping his entire career, including during the times he won the Tour.

I think the quiz is nice as it is. You can't just erase history like that. So, asking for the disqualified winners but specifying they were disqualified is fair.

That's just disrespectfull to the actual official winners though.

Think of it as ck + x.

But I agree that it's a strange spelling, and there could be some leniency about it.

Lance Armstrong should not be accepted as an answer, nor should Alberto Contador for 2010.

This is one quiz where cheating is perfectly acceptable. I just got 105% correct, for 6 points.
