I agree, though his later achievements eclipsed any fame that he earned for his performance at the Olympics, and so he wasn't really famous for the Olympics, maybe that's why he is not included here.

should have gotten Joyner-Kersee... she's the subject of one of the readings in the text book I use. I have to re-read it with students about once every other month. Just couldn't recall her name.

Ugh. Kerri didn't have a broken ankle. It was a bad sprain. The media sure did their job in over-hyping the facts of the injury!

That Roy Jones-Park Si Hun gold medal match really soured me on the Olympics. I still can't believe those judges had the gall to score it the way they did. Shameless. Even Park couldn't believe it. The first thing he did, when the scoring came back, was apologize to Roy. Whatever gold was trading at that day is all that medal was worth.
