Montserrat, Curacao, Bermuda, Gibraltar and the Faroe Islands are not countries. Scotland, Wales, England and Northern Ireland are obviously murky territory, but are by all intents and purposes not countries in their own right either, according to, for example, the UN, EU, NATO, etc. Much more ceremonial than anything else.

Otherwise good quiz, really interesting.

All of them are FIFA nations. The quiz doesn't state they have to be sovereign countries.

I'm unsure on Monserat, Curacao and Bermuda, but Gibraltar and the Faero Islands are considered "countries" in the sense they have a 'national' football team and play in World Cup and European Championship qualifiers. Broadly similar to the four home nations of the UK, whilst none are "Countries" in their own right, all play international football as seperate 'countries'.

The intro does state that I'm looking for 'Nations' in the footballing sense, rather than by UN recognition anyway.

You've also reminded me that this quiz needs updated, there was a first player from a certain country, played in this season's PL.

From what I can see he hasn’t actually played yet, he has been an unused sub a few times. I’ll add him whenever he gets on the pitch.

Cheers for flagging him up though
