Description of Siege or Hand Weapon
Weapon
Large bow generally used by the English.
Longbow
Basic sword for knights
Broad Sword
Spiked ball on end of stick
Morningstar
Knobbed ball on end of stick
Mace
Long, pole like weapon used on horseback. Used in jousting.
Lance
Long thrusting spear, generally used in the infantry.
Pike
A bow horizontally mounted on a stock, replaces longbow.
Crossbow
(May be spiked or not) ball attached by chain to a stick.
Flail
An axe with the blade on one side and a sharp metal object extending from the other side.
Battle Axe
An axe thrown at an enemy providing more force than a battle axe.
Throwing Axe
A pike fitted with an axe head.
Halberd
A short knife that comes to a point.
Dagger
Fired heavy objects from a bowl extending from the arm.
Mangonel
Similar to a crossbow but much larger.
Ballista
A log forcefully hit into gates or doors in order to shake them down.
Battering Ram
A very large siege weapon that hurls rocks into walls.
