100 Foods by Picture

Please can you accept the British alternatives doughnut instead of donut, chips vs French fries, whisky spelt without the e, eclair without the e, gherkin vs pickle and prawn vs shrimp. Thanks

I would say the picture for couscous is a little misleading. Those look like chickpeas on top. Is the couscous under the vegetables? It's a litte hard to tell. Fun quiz otherwise!

Penne is tubular pasta cut on an angle. Ziti is tubular pasta cut straight across. So the picture/answer is correct.

Schnitzel and Fried Fish would look the same - so unless you took the picture not sure how you could say it was one or the other.

Agreed, the couscous is very hard to identify.

tofu does not look like tofu, never seen it cooked this way and have grown up with it T_T

Several of the pictures are minimally indicative at best. Please also accept more alternative type-ins than at present.

The bratwurst looks like what Brits would call bangers. For clam chowder I tried tzatziki, tarator and yogurt - they all look the same! Maybe some more distinct swaps would be a better option?

I don't understand why there's basil in the guacamole picture. I spent ages trying to think of a sauce that included lime and basil and looked like that.

The couscous was a bit unidentifiable, the key lime pie could have easily been a lemon meringue pie, since it wasn't cut, and the "dumplings" are actually matzo balls for batzo ball soup, I also said fish and chips for the schntizel. I also could have used a few more minutes to circle back to the harder ones. I had so much fun doing it though, great quiz.

Several of these are pretty misleading, or should also accept some other answers. I really like the idea for this quiz, but I think it could definitely be tuned up a bit.
