Revere spent a fortune and years of fact changing to become the 'Hero'. Actually Prescott and Dawes did more than Revere who luckily had 'Longfellow's' poem to help the Myth. The Revere Association through the years have managed to enlarge this myth almost to fact. Many heroes at that time have been pushed aside to try and make Revere the lone Hero.

How do you have Marilyn Monroe and the "Founder of Christian Science" on the same list as the founding fathers, Roosevelt, and Douglass? How many Christian Scientists do you know? Probably none. What a joke.

And yes, I do know what Christian Science is. I had a great uncle who was part of this incredibly insignificant cult. He died of, unsurprisingly, medical complications.

King didn't actually start the civil rights movement. The fight for civil rights is as old as the country itself. King was certainly essential in that struggle and was a great man, but he didn't begin that struggle.
