Totally missed it that the answers should start with U. Missed a couple of easy ones because of that.

According to "https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_world%27s_tallest_buildings", the Cologne Cathedral was the world's tallest church from 1880-1890, with the Ulm Minster holding that honor from 1890 to 1894.

Thanks fixed. The Wikipedia page for Ulm Minster itself was in error so I fixed the Wikipedia page as well.

With regard to "where the Troubles" happened - they happened in Northern Ireland which comprises 6 of the counties of Ulster and not all 9 as depicted. The map is incorrect.

True, and don't forget the capital T in Troubles!

It doesn't really matter for a simple quiz:

Although the Troubles primarily took place in Northern Ireland, at times the violence spilled over into parts of the Republic of Ireland, England, and mainland Europe.

It matters if a map highlights areas where something didn't happen.

There are almost all always going to be areas where something didn't happen, when you highlight the whole region.

Yeap, @Granuaile is correct. The Trouble primarily took place in Northern Ireland, which is not the same as Ulster. Yes, there were disturbances in the Republic and the mainland UK, but the map doesn't include all of either country. You should rephrase the question. "Where the Troubles predominantly happened" would probably suffice.

Why did they draw the Unabomber as a porn star from back in the day?

because everyone looked like a porn star in the late 70s and early 80s

As someone2018 pointed out, that mugshot looks *nothing* like the Unabomber. (I personally think it looks like DB Cooper!) Surely there is a better likeness of him with a free-to-use license (or in the public domain) that can be used instead? This one is only really famous for being of the wrong guy. (For those interested, how that seems to have happened: https://www.bustle.com/p/who-was-the-unabomber-sketch-artist-manhunt-unabomber-claims-there-was-more-than-one-78167)

I got it immediately from the sketch which was circulated widely and often. I doubt I would have recognized the actual photo of the guy.

That's a sketch, not a mugshot. A mugshot is a photograph.

It's a pretty poor likeness, but how many fugitives have names starting with "U" anyway?

For merchant marine's nightmare, I feel like "unrestricted submarine warfare" should be accepted.
