I most likely have made mistakes on this quiz. Please post your comments about if you disagree with the dates. European dates of when a country becomes a country is very difficult as their are multiple dates that usually conflict with them. Please also read the directions at the top and tell me if they need to be updated to make more sense. Thank you.

The first date for the UK is 1707 with the Act of Union between England and Scotland. It is hard to see how Greece can be called a Western European country given it is in South East Europe - perhaps you should refer to European countries that were not behind the Iron Curtain or were never part of the Communist bloc....

Luxembourg has existed long before 1945. It became a Grand Duchy in 1815.
