I suggest adding yellow boxes and/or reducing the time. I don't watch the olympics but got 5/5 with plenty of time to spare by typing countries with a decent size population where it snows quite a bit!

I like easy quizzes. I like them because they make me feel good and because lots of people take them. Too easy for you? Try to name as many popes as you can.

Level 64
Feb 27, 2018
The top seven names take up 40% of popes, so getting at least half isn't too bad... After that, it's practically impossible.

You can always go for your own speed record, or even look at the statistics to compare your time to others if you want to be competitive. Why would you want to reduce the time so that other people are not able to complete all the boxes?

but should be a position 6, right?

Level 51
Feb 27, 2018
It should be ninth, assuming that the medals are sorted first by total count, then by golds, and then by silvers.

Okay, it's 9th now.

The ranking should not be sorted by total medal count, but by number of gold medals first, then silver, then bronze. This is how the IOC publishes their list, and what's used within sport circles (it's better a single gold medal that five silvers). See:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2018_Winter_Olympics_medal_table

Argh, I wanted to make this quiz solely because of the Russia caveat, but alas, I forgot. Great quiz!

I'd put Russia (maybe as OAR), they are athletes from Russia anyway; I'd move Sweden up by one since it won more golds
+2
Level 69
Feb 28, 2018
But OAR isn't considered a country, plus he did make a note why they weren't included.
+6
Level 92
Feb 27, 2018
Sweden should be at 6th place since the number of gold medals should count before the total number of medals.

Netherlands at #5, not bad considering that all of those medals were won with Ice skating alone

Only during the ceremonies and for the women's ice hockey tournament

That's what I thought too. When "Korea" didn't take I went on to other answers.

OAR/ Olympic Athletes from Russia should be on here with 17 medals! 2 gold, 6 silver, 9 bronze!

There was no team Russia, only Russian athletes invited to participate under the Olympic flag.

Yes, but the Russian athletes competed under the name "Olympic Athletes from Russia"

New Zealand got two medals, both bronze (it had only won one medal ever, in 1992, before this). Looks like we just missed the cut for this quiz.

Norway's population is 5.2 million. That is smaller than the population of the Philadelphia metro area. It's remarkable what the Norwegians have accomplished in the Winter games.
