Montana is incorrect. The tallest peak is Granite Peak, at 12,807 feet.

Oh wait this isn't a list of tallest mountains. I'm dumb. But if that's the case Nevada also has a very famous Wheeler Peak, in Great Basin National Park, so that should probably be included as an answer.
