This is another one of Rolling Stone’s ridiculous lists that yes, are fun to do, but you can’t really take seriously. Marvin Gaye, Mariah Carey, Roy Orbison, Steve Perry, Smokey Robinson, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston. These people can flat out sing. But how laughable is it to see that Bob Dylan is seventh or John Lennon fifth best voice of all time? Dylan is loved for his songwriting, his lyrics. He is an American Icon, a legend. Nothing needs to be said about John Lennon or Dylan. They’re both great! Period! But they are not among the top ten best voices of all time. Oh, and by the way, where is Harry Nilson? He was one of the best of the sixties era.

Shiloh376...you have nailed it. Bob Dylan is one of the weakest singers to ever stand behind a microphone. To have him anywhere near a 'top vocalist' list is ludicrous, never mind having him ahead of Freddie Mercury. Mick Jagger is also highly over-rated. Among the great Seattle grunge bands, Cobain is one of the weaker, behind Vedder and Cornell for sure. Where is Ian Gillan, Tom Jones or Neil Diamond? Aretha @ #1 is credible, along with Elvis, Janis and Joe Cocker, but Iggy Pop?!!

I will not be a party to any list of greatest singers which does not include Frank Sinatra, Tom Jones, Tony Bennett, Nat King Cole

or Vic Damone.

Just in case you didn't know, Dion's first name is Celine.
