Tarmogoyf isn't really vanilla, is he? I mean, I guess. Whatever. 1B to kill stuff could be a lot of things and Terror is the more obvious answer IMO. Azorius mythic could be Isperia.
Yeah, when I first heard a friend call him vanilla, I thought it sounded wierd, but they convinced me, and it does kinda make sense.
Some of them do have several answers. I did think of Isperia, but I figured Revelation would be at least the second option, so I left it like that. I will admit I did not think of Terror (or any others for that matter, Go For The Throat comes to mind now). Since I already have two acceptable answers for Chaos Orb (Falling Star will work as well), I suppose I ought to add some for the other ones as well.
What did you think of the difficulty, though? I was afraid that some of the hints would be a bit wierd.
Most were fairly easy for me, yes some of the hints were a bit out there and I missed some of those... but obviously most people would have no idea about most of these. I've been playing Magic since '94, though. and MTGO is the only computer game I ever play anymore.
Other kill spells that cost the same as the classic and original Terror: Go For the Throat, Ultimate Price, Devour Flesh, Feast of Blood, Smother, Shrivel, Shriekmaw (with evoke), Nameless Inversion, Warren Weirding, Pack's Disdain, Soul Reap, Premature Burial, Feebleness, Cradle to Grave, Grave Peril, Last Gasp, Clinging Darkness, Hero's Demise, Echoing Decay, Lingering Death, Chill Haunting, Chainer's Edict, Toxic Stench, Chime of Night, Twisted Experiment, Diabolic Edict, Cannibalize, Plaguebearer, Nausea, Soul Rend, Infernal Harvest, Cruel Edict, Dry Spell, Dismember (alternate cost)... to name some. Might be missing a few. Terror was the first, though. Nothing special about Doom Blade. I think at least six or seven of these see more tournament play than Doom Blade does, and probably 2/3 or 3/4 have been around longer.
To more specifically answer your question about difficulty... since I'm the only other person (besides yourself I presume?) to take this quiz, you can see which ones I missed by just looking at the %'es. I missed Battle of Wits, Karakas, Abyssal Persecutor and Form of the Dragon because I had no idea what the clue was getting at. Also, I don't think I've ever even seen Persecutor played. I missed Bloodbraid Elf because I couldn't remember their name. I missed Sphinx's Revelation because I thought you were talking about Isperia and assumed maybe you had misspelled it or I got her title wrong or something. I missed Doom Blade because I guessed Terror and a couple other things and then gave up. and I'm not sure why I missed Squadron Hawk... wasn't thinking I guess. I tried Suntail Hawk and moved on. But Squadron Hawk is more a staple of tournament sword decks I know that.
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I took the quiz myself to see the stats, I'm not sure if there's another way of doing that. I have added a few alternatives to Doom Blade (obviously couldn't add them all since the limit is 10 type-ins), and I changed the clue for Sphinx's Revelation slightly to rule out Isperia (though it's not showing up here for some reason). I was aiming for a relatively high difficulty, in regards to what cards I chose. Some of the clues could have been a bit better, so I'll think of that for any future quizzes I make.
