"The Marshall Islands, officially the Republic of the Marshall Islands is an island country located near the equator in the Pacific Ocean, slightly west of the International Date Line. Geographically, the country is part of the larger island group of Micronesia." from Wikipedia.

'Micronesia' and 'The Federated States of Micronesia' are two separate entities, the former being an geographical area containing the Marshall Islands and the latter being a country in its own right.

I have however accidentally used the country as the answer incorrectly and cannot use the region as it's a 'country decoder', so may have to change it to another 'M' country all together. Oops!

I just swapped them around so that the answer is now 'Marshall Islands'.

I need some clarification on when exactly you think Iran became a country. I'm not to sure myself.

1935. Not sure where this question has come from as Iran doesn't feature in this quiz but, "In 1935 the Iranian government requested those countries which it had diplomatic relations with, to call Persia "Iran," which is the name of the country in Persian. The suggestion for the change is said to have come from the Iranian ambassador to Germany, who came under the influence of the Nazis."
