I think you'll find that the former name of Zimbabwe was Southern Rhodesia. Northern Rhodesia was Zambia.

Victoria, Malawi, and Turkana, along with 6 other lakes, are known as the Great Lakes. Specifically calling those 3 out suggests you want the name of the group, so could you accept Great Lakes as an answer in addition to the more basic "lakes"? I know I'm not the only one who'll get hung up on that.
