This list is wildly inaccurate. I believe that Mongolia should top the list and it is crazy to suggest that Denmark, UK and Morocco are less densely populated. It may be true of Greenland, the Falkland Islands and (perhaps) Western Sahara - but none of these are sovereign states. Similarly France shouldn't be on this list - maybe you are thinking of French Guiana which is sparsely populated. I would suggest that Guyana, Libya, Mauritania and Canada should all be on the list.
I considered Exclusive Economic Zone, rather than land area was what was being used so as to put France and the UK on there (both major parts are far from sparse, and most of the outlying parts are too - if not even denser).
But Canada would be about a quarter of the UK's (which would be nearly 10) by that measure - a little over twice as big, with a little over half the people.
