1950 FIFA World Cup Results

Due to the trauma of the Second World War, the 1950 FIFA World Cup was the first edition of the competition since 1938. The tournament took place in Brazil between 24 June and 16 July. In two minutes, can you name all 13 of the national sides that competed in the tournament?

Originally, 16 clubs had qualified for the tournament, including Scotland and Turkey. Both Scotland and Turkey withdrew from the tournament before the draw (held on 22 May), prompting FFIA to invite Portugal, Ireland and France (all of whom had failed to qualify). Initially, France accepted. After the draw, but before the tournament, both India and France withdrew.

Good quiz but difficult to read the pale green writing when the answers appear. Can they be made darker?

Thanks for the comment. I agree regarding the answers. I would like them to appear darker, but this is how they are designed by Jetpunk. I have been trying to find a way around this, but to no avail.

Assuming the diagrams are implemented using svg files, try entering the code below after your introductory text in the Quiz Options (Step 1). Note that you'll need to change the round brackets around each of the two 'style' keywords to angled brackets. I had to do that to prevent the code being interpreted as real code in this comment.
