The Mars company (M&Ms, Twix, etc etc) is by far the biggest seller of candies worldwide.

And some how, the Mars Bar doesn't make the list?!

Mars bars in the USA never really sold well, they replaced it with Snickers with almonds. go figure.

Yeah, I don't really see how chewing gum is candy.

Agreed, gum should have a quiz of its own. I just kept guessing different candy brands, figuring I'd leave the one or two gum brands 'til the end. Never realized they'd comprise nearly half of the answers!

I am pretty sure he had to use gum because he just copied the list that bloomberg businessweek had.

If it was like a gum like double bubble I would consider it candy but not chewing gum!

17/25. Can't complain about the gum because it clearly states "includes gum!"

gum is not candy!

Gum is not candy because it is not made to be consumed in the body.

That's not the definition of candy. Candy is any sweet confection, under which gum arguably qualifies. It's still a bit of a gray area considering a lot of gums are sugar-free, but my point is the definition of candy has nothing to do with digestibility.

Why is everyone saying that gum is not candy? Since when is gum NOT candy? I don't get it!!!! It's sold in the candy section in stores!!!! When you ask an employee at a store where the gum is, they tell you it's in the candy section!!! More than one person is trying to turn this into an issue and its a nonissue. Sorry for the rant but I can't see how everyone can be so wrong

Cheap. Gums and mints? You should have added that to the caveats that gums and mints were included. Bad quiz.

Unless i'm mistaken...don't the caveats say exactly that?

I didn't read them either, but don't hate...

Should have switched to gum but was trying to get through the candybars first - and like others, I never imagined they'd be more than half. The one thing I can say though, is that I only missed ONE candy bar - butterfinger.

Wow, everyone seems to be really upset about that whole gum thing. Even if you didn't consider it, the info tells you they're included. I wasn't really thinking about gum either but there's nothing to argue about. Even sugar free gums have substitutes for sugar in them. Even peppermint or spearmint are not only spicy but sweet as well.

Yeah gum isn't candy, and although it doesn't have sugar, it has sweeteners like aspartame that, in my opinion, is worse for the human body than sugar is.
