Why isn't "cello" good enough for "violoncellos"? And why is "violoncellos" plural?

Modern orchestra?

Saxaphone first is spelled wrong and second is not a normal part of the orchestra.

Cornet and Euphonium are not a normal parts of the orchestra, they are primarily band instruments

Contrabassoon and Bass Trombone would be more appropriate than any of those

Bells or Glockenspiel would be more appropriate than Marimba

Standard compliment of winds in an orchestra is:

2 each of flutes, oboes, clarinets, bassoons with a 3rd of each added for piccolo, bass clarinet, english horn, and contrbassoon

4 horns, 2 trumpets, 3 trombones, 1 tuba

Strings can be any where from 14-18 1st violins and 2nd violins, 10-14 violas, 12-16 cellos, 8-10 string basses, and harp if needed.

I can think of very few works for orchestra requiring these instruments, most of them English. I would hardly call them standard parts of the orchestra.

Couple suggestions: 1 a piano is technically a percussion instrument 2 please accept cello 3 a saxophone is not part of an orchestra
