Igneous rocks are not all from cooled magma. Tuff, for instance, is not from cooled magma

Yes it is. Tuff has more air bubbles but it still forms from molten rock.

Crystals form in cooling magma when the right combination of temperature, mineral concentration and pressure exist. Larger crystals form when magma cools slowly, smaller crystals form when the magma cools more rapidly and little or no crystals form when the magma cools rapidly.
