The "Flakand" war was accually known as the Falklands war so this should be accepted and it waouldnt accept "Hundread Years War"

I honestly don't know what you're talking about it has always accepted "Hundred years war" and has always been spelled the falkland war. I have not once edited this quiz.

Add common abbreviations (i.e. WWI) and change starts with to containing. Other than that it's a good quiz!

Yeah will do but common abbreviations are already on there.

The war in Star wars is actually the Galactic Civil War

Yeah! I was trying to remember the specific name of the war before I realized that the quizmaker probably just wanted Star Wars...

Yeah, that was my first try too. If you're going to include fiction, be thorough about it.

You have to accept "Galactic Civil War" for "Star Wars"--that's the actual name of the war. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the humour, but you should at least accept the correct answer.

Rather enjoyed this quiz. Got a good chuckle from both having both sides listed as 'belligerents' and from the fictional one listed. I will confess to missing 5 (and then kicking myself when seeing the answers).

I think using neutral "belligerents" is a great idea. Picking a side to label as the "good guys" or the "aggressors" would quickly politicize the quiz, especially since people around the world use the site. Wouldn't want a Carthaginian logging on and seeing that he was labelled a bad guy,

The Vietnamese call the 1955-1975 war on their soil the American War.

The Hundred Years war must be the ultimate symbol of the futility of war, because the belligerents (love that term!) in 1453 likely didn't have the foggiest idea why their parents' parents' parents started the damn thing in 1337. Maybe it ended when they realised no-one could remember what the original point of it was.

The German Empire was proclaimed in Versailles at the end of the 1870 war with France hence it couldn't be the belligerent in that war. To name the largest German belligerent would give away the answer though.

Though French and Indian was the North American side of the Seven Years' War, so I'll give myself partial credit ;)
