Looked up the source material, and it looks like #8 should be Rehab.

So if you have any musical talent, aren't a hip-hop/pop "artist", or aren't the most mainstream, corporate sponsored puppet, then you get no recognition? Even if this were an accurate list, it would just go from being funny to sad.

This is actually one of the more impressive lists for me in terms of alternative with Daft Punk, M.I.A., Franz Ferdinand, Arctic Monkeys, MGMT, LCD Soundsystem, The Shins, Fleet Foxes

Dont think ive ever seen any of them on a quiz before, maybe daft punk

Once again disadvantaged by my non-American-ness! Is there a UK version? NME instead of Rolling Stone, maybe?

USA: 70.5

UK: 17.5

Ireland: 3

France: 3

Canada: 2

Australia: 2

Sweden: 1

Jamaica: 1

The UK are not the ones who should complain the most. 3 continents are not represented, and all songs are sung in English.

How many people buy or read Rolling Stone in those other 3 continents? Why does you think everything needs to be equal all the time?

Franz Ferdinand! Green Day! Killers! U2! White Stripes! Coldplay! The years before terrible electronic pop music arrived.

I must disagree with the list makers 80-90%. Haven't heard all of the songs and maybe that's a good thing.

Maybe the Rolling Stone don't like them but Red Hot Chili Peppers released Stadium Arcadium in this decade...

I think I have a very different taste in music to the makers of this list. Though I must agree that All My Friends by LCD Soundsystem belongs on any list of greatest songs.
