I chose metropolitan statistical area because citypop's urban agglomeration gloms together Baltimore and DC, and that didn't seem appropriate for a sports team quiz.

The opposite end of the list (fewest pro sports teams per capita) is less interesting; it's mostly just the largest cities that have only one team. But NYC, despite its 9 (!) teams, still comes in at #10 with over 2.2 million residents per team.
