Nice. Washington DC looks closer than Richmond.

Hmm. That's possible. The source lists D.C. as 98.33 miles away and Richmond as 85.4 miles away. However, on closer inspection, the spot that the map has marked as "Shenandoah National Park" is toward the southern end (I had assumed it would be more in the middle). Measuring from a point more toward the middle might favor D.C., although I'm a little hesitant to break with the pattern I used for all the other answers on the quiz.

Measuring from the Harry F. Byrd, Sr. Visitor Center (approximately in the center of the park) gives D.C. 80.12, Richmond 86.73. I think for now I'll leave Richmond as the displayed answer for consistency's sake but add D.C. as a type-in.

Really tough one! You might consider losing the yellow box requirement, as this list of cities is pretty random on its own.

I thought about it. I didn't want it to be just another "guess a bunch of big U.S. cities" quiz, but I guess the list might be diverse enough that it wouldn't be. I'll think about it.

Thanks for the feedback!

Stockton? Citypopulation.de is known for seriously stretching "urban" area, but this is a new extreme.

Yeah, that's the weirdest answer on this quiz. Apparently citypop includes Modesto as part of the Stockton urban agglomeration, which is definitely a questionable decision.
