The "more of these per capita" question is pretty vague. There are many answers that could probably fit this question:

Domino's sugar factories; horse-drawn Arabbers; restaurants serving crabcakes; professional sports teams with birds as their mascots; etc.

"Homicide" should also be an accepted answer for the David Simon question. Or specify that it is an HBO show.

Yeah, Homicide wasn't technically created by David Simon, but as it was based on his book it's close enough to be confusing.
