Interesting but I've never heard anybody refer to Wales as a peninsula.

Not to mention Nova Scotia. Half the province is on an island so I would have thought the peninsula had its own name (Acadia maybe)

nova scotia and wales both jut into bodies of water, with only one small connection to the mainland. they are both peninsulas even if they arent commonly referred to as such. alaska is another example of this
