I was confused by the ‘is Stockholm built on islands’ question and went for no, meaning ‘only about half of it’. Please could you clarify the question.

Agreed, this should be clarified. I took the question to mean "completely on islands" and answered No. "Is something built on islands" leaves a lot of room for interpretation. Completely on islands? Mostly on islands? Is one island enough to qualify it?
