Just did the quiz again, couldn't remember having done it before, and came here to say: "add the percentages, I'd really like to know and it would also increase the credibility"

Macedonia changed its name to North Macedonia, FYROM should also be accepted as type-in.

Agree, the answer should be "North Macedonia". I entered it two or three times and was frustrated as hell to see "Macedonia" as the answer I missed at the end.

Can you clarify what "largest % of mountains in Europe" means? I think you are referring to the % of the country's territory that is covered by mountains. Literally, though, % of mountains in Europe refers to, out of all the mountains in Europe, what percent are in country X? I wouldn't expect Liechtenstein to cover a very large %age of that.

this quiz refers to the percentage of territory in the individual country that is covered by mountains not by the total area of mountains in Europe, otherwise the likes of Russia and Norway would probably dominate this list.

I'm most surprised not to see Bosnia-Herzegovina on this list. It is more mountainous than Croatia, Serbia or Romania.

So true.

Slovenia is usually considered to be part of Central Europe, and much of Romania is part of the Balkans. Also adding percentages would make it more reliable.

Slovenia is definitely in the Balkans, and as for Romania only the southernmost part of the country is considered to be apart of the Balkan peninsula.

It would be interesting to have the percentage and its source, as well as the definition of mountainous (is it morphology, altitude, absence of plains,...). It seems unlikely that a country like Norway is not in the list when Romania is. There is maybe 10, max 15% of Norway that isn't mountainous.

What's the source, and methodology?

I wouldn’t have said that Greece is a Balkan country, as it was not part of Yugoslavia and has had its own traditions and language

By that logic then Albania and Bulgaria are also not in the Balkans because they were also never apart of Yugoslavia. Ask any Greek person if their country is in the Balkans and they will tell you it is.
