Sort of like playing a slot machine, and I got lucky. On my 2nd try I got Germany, Canada, India, and Morocco, which is about as good as it'll get for me.
Excellent quiz! The maps surely highlight this one.
Just a comment, though. There seems to not be a consensual way to list the cities. I mean, while China has its cities listed by city proper, Mexico has its cities listed by metro area.
Yeah, I got Shenzhen and Canton which citypopulation.de naturally always lumps together in an urban area. No Chungking though if it is going by municipal population.
No, Guangzhou and Shenzhen is not always lumped together, as I used this Part of the citypopulation.de website which says it's urban area. And where they are not lumped together. So yeah China is in Urban area in this quiz too
Also the numbers for the United States seem off. Washington should be fourth for urban area. Edit: I found the page you used, it’s not Combined Statistical Area.
1. No I did not use City Proper for China, citypopulation.de this is the website I used which states that it's both Urban Area and in this order
2. I don't know what you're talking about that you found the page I used, I said in the description that I used citypopulation.de and here it says this order, it might be from 2010 but I didn't want to be inconsistent with what pages I used so I ended up using a little outdated version
Wow. I just copied the quiz and saw the sheer amount of CSS and mapmaking you had to go through to make this quiz perfect. The map literally boggles my eyes! Wonderful quiz, Oskar.
Could you possibly accept Mansoura for El Mansoura (Egypt)? The definite articles are not always written when transliterating Arabic place names and I didn't think of writing it that way. Egyptian here, by the way :)
Got Ukraine, China, Colombia, and Pakistan. Got all of the Ukrainian and Chinese cities, got 2 Colombian Cities, Medellin and Bogota, and 3 Pakistani Cities, Lahore, Karachi, and Faisalabad.
The cities for the US are partially wrong, for Houston definitely being number 4 in population, not Philadelphia or Miami. I dont know which the fifth one would be tho
Correct me if I'm wrong, isn't Rawalpindi-Islamabad one urban area? Or does it take into account the provincial boundary? Because Islamabad and Rawalpindi are usually taken as one constituent urban area.
Exactly, but I got Russia, India, Canada, and Spain. Luckily enough, the first time I got 16/20, a few rolls later got the exact same thing! Since I remembered the cities, got a 20/20.
Just a comment, though. There seems to not be a consensual way to list the cities. I mean, while China has its cities listed by city proper, Mexico has its cities listed by metro area.
Just one thing: the part of Ukraine extending south of Moldova is missing.
Thanks a lot!
Nice quiz!

But Western Saharan cities wouldn't have made the quiz anyways.
