Two concerns:

1) It is historically inaccurate now to say that Columbus discovered the. "New World". The Vikings were (likely) the first Europeans to arrive in the new world. Also it is Eurocentric to suggest that the new world was even discovered by Europeans given that people crossed the land-bridge between Asia and North America perhaps 30,000 years prior to Columbus' voyage.

2) Technically Neville Chamberlain was also a prime minister of the UK during the Second World War (albeit not for a significant portion of it). He did declare war on Nazi Germany after all.
