Interesting that Beckett is on the French literature quiz because he wrote Godot in French, but Nabokov is on the Russian literature quiz even though he wrote Lolita in English. Not a critique here. I'd probably classify Lolita as a Russian novel, too. But then I'd probably classify Godot as Irish drama. Jhumpa Lahiri now writes in Italian. Does that make her an Italian writer?
