Pleasantly challenging. Might consider adding Caradhras for the high pass.

Yeah technically the High Pass is the route Thorin and company tried to take in The Hobbit - Pass of Caradhras is also referred to as the Red Horn Gate.

You might also want to accept Parth Galen for where Boromir is slain.

I may be a huge nerd, but Caradhras and the High Pass are two different passes through the Misty Mountains.

If the woeful Hobbit movies are anything to go off - they would have you believe that Gungabad and Weathertop are exactly the same place!

Lake-town is hardly in the centre of the lake...both Buckland and Michel Delving are more populated than Hobbiton... and could you accept Imladris for Rivendell and the Morannon for the Black Gate?

Can you please accept Endor for Middle-Earth, Calenardhon for Rohan (that's its previous name when it was a province of Gondor before the Oath of Eorl), change the description for Hobbiton because both Michel Delving and Buckland are both more populous, Amon Sûl for Weathertop, Hornburg for Helm's Deep (The Hornburg is the actual name of the fortress; Helm's Deep is the name of the place), Angrenost for Isengard, Minas Anor for Minas Tirith, Ered Nimrais for White Mountains, Mithlond for Grey Havens, Minas Ithil for Minas Morgul, Esgaroth for Lake-town, Atalantë for Numenor, Greenwood the Great and Eryn Lasgalen for Mirkwood and Khazad-dûm for Moria (amongst some others)

Esgaroth is the name of the lake-town itself. The lake is called Long Lake. Also, as other folks have noted, Hobbiton is not the most populous town in The Shire. Fun quiz thogh.

A little more time, and the corrections on Esgaroth/Hobbiton and this would be excellent. As is, it's still very satisfying

A ford is not a river. A ford is a river crossing.

Could you add more time? I never even got to the last quarter of questions. Also, Gondolin is another hidden elf refuge.

So if this is a LOTR quiz why are there questions about The Hobbit?
