The report in Christianity Today makes fascinating, though depressing reading. Thank you.

Isn't it odd, though, that a few of the countries on the list are majority Christian (for example #6 most severe and #12 most violent)?

I am surprised by Colombia.

This, in my mind, is one of the biggest issues going on in the world that no one talks about. People assume that the Middle East has always been 100% Muslim, but it hasn't by a long shot. Lebanon was majority Christian until fairly recently. Egypt and Syria had large Christian populations that are shrinking due to persecution. Turkey was about 25% Christian before WWI but is now 99.8% Muslim. Even Iraq used to have a lot of Christians. (If you live in the Detroit area you might meet some). Entire cultures are being erased and very few people in the West care.

Yeah, technically, according to the most recent census data, Lebanon is majority Christian, because their most recent census was conducted in 1932, when the country was 53% Christian
