This is a great idea :) However, I found it visually difficult to interpret which answer fit for which clue. Could you please make an extra column and put the starting letters in them? Thank you :)

Super quiz. I looked up IJ words and found a Dutch word "ij" - it would make the quiz complete, but I suppose it's a bit obscure.

IJ is the river on which Amsterdam lies, so that could be the final hint:)

I couldn't think of a clue for ij previously but having looked this up I reckon you've got a perfect fit!

The clue for outcrop isn't very accurate. An outcrop is when bedrock is exposed at the surface (but elsewhere is usually covered by soil or other layers of rock). I'm not sure where you got the clue definition from but suggest it needs to be looked at.

you could add a word beginning with z and ending in a, to make it more complete chain. eg zeta, zoella, zoomania, zooxanthella. other than that great quiz!

The M-N answer is quite obscure at the moment. I would suggest replacing it with something about the moon. Or mean ("mathematical average" or "comes in geometric, harmonic, and arithmetic forms").

The U-V answer threw me off because it would end with T, not V. Perhaps specify "Abbreviation for ...".
