The Thrust SSC clocks in at over 762 mph... seems kind of arbitrary what cars they include here and not (as any top ____ article from any magazine usually will be). I mean, the Hennessey Venom GT is essentially just a road car (Viper) redone at a tuner shop. Same with the Gumpert Apollo. None of these cars are really mass-produced except for the Veyron (remarkably, considering the obscene pricetag), Enzo, and Aventador. I made a test of my own about cars that are actually fast around the track, since nobody without a perfectly straight and level closed 100 km-long stretch of pavement will be able to get a Veyron up to 267 mph- it's actually not that fast around a track.
and btw I was wrong about the Venom GT. It's really a heavily modified Lotus, not a Viper. Though Honnessey makes modifed Vipers with very similar names as well, thus the confusion.
