Brunswick or New Brunswick?

Of course you know the German city of Braunschweig, which in a convoluted way gave its name to the Canadian Province of New Brunswick, but can you tell them apart?
The Canadian province of New Brunswick was named after the House of Brunswick-Lüneburg, Hanover line, which was the proper name for the ancestral house of George III. The title in turn took its name from the city of Braunschweig.
