The Maritimes is a collection of easterly provinces (specifically New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and P.E.I.) but Canada's most easterly province, Newfoundland and Labrador, is distinct from the Maritmes collective. Given that, to say that the Maritimes is the "Canada's eastern provinces" is inaccurate.
