IMO Stand-your-ground law and gun rights are some of the most important laws in American society. Imagine if you didn't have the right to defend yourself! *cough* much of Europe *cough*

I'm only giving a few reasons here, why guns are an awful weapon for normal people to posess:

* If you hadn't a gun, a police officer would not have existential fears whenever he stops a car, searches a house, arrests someone. Therefore, he would not need to use his gun in a way, where he is ready to kill you.

* Schoolshootings period.

I suppose you're being sarcastic, nevertheless, I would like to know your source. Furthermore, I wouldn't flex about Immigration, when the US has capped their refugee number at 30,000 per year1 and Austria with a population of just under 9,000,000 has capped theirs at 37,5002! This is the time you should be ashamed Lady "Liberty"!

So if your country doesn't attract refugees it's bad??? Also since you live in Europe which is much closer to the Middle East (A prime source of refugees) than the US, wouldn't it make sense for Austria to get more refugees. Though I'm not saying that refugees are bad.

The reason for refugees fleeing from their country is not because Austria or the US are so great and they've always wanted to live their, it's that their own country is currently not safe for them to live in. The reason Austria, Germany and Sweden, to give a few examples have so many refugees does not stem from the fact, that these nations are more attractive for refugees, but from the fact that these nations unlike Hungary for example grant asylum to those who seek it.

Of course Austria should take in more refugees from Syria, because it is closer to that region, and I highly doubt many Syrians aim to reach the US, but the US have their own source of refugees, El Salvador and Honduras.

Like any other country would be any better. You could obviously find slander about basically any country somewhere on the internet, clearly by biased sources who have some kind of grudge against the country, and make it seem like everything about the country and its people are bad. It is obviously stupid and no one would like it if it is aimed at their country and people so I could understand how some "patriots" feel.
