For a minute there; I thought taranna was Toronto but that's just the way it's pronounced in Toronto.

Seems like they had fun accepting antannnnannnnarrrrevo as a type-in

A lot of it is just the fact that they use regular expressions to parse the answers, so they set it up to accept, for example, "one or more 'N's here", meaning that you can throw a lot of really weird things at it that will still technically pass the regular expression validation.

I highly doubt that anyone explicitly set it to specifically allow "antannnnannnnarrrrevo."

Some people from countries that aren't Thailand can't necessarily say the full name of Thailand's capital. That full name (Might even be longer than this) being "Krung Thep Mahanakhon Amon Rattanakosin Mahinthara Yuthaya Mahadilok Phop Noppharat Ratchathani Burirom Udomratchaniwet Mahasathan Amon Piman Awatan Sathit Sakkathattiya Witsanukam Prasit!". It's really long. Thankfully, the Thai government and other Thai people accept it as "Bangkok".

(Sorry if y'all don't want me to say that! Please don't attack me!)

(Thank you Thai people!)

In my spanish class we had to memorize all of the capitals and states. I learned several things. Equitorial Guinea is a spanish speaking country for one. This is the only reason why I got "Tagucalgolpa" and "Mannagau"

By the way, Kazakhstan changed the name of their capital to Astana (again) in 2022.

Good point. Well, that answer just got a lot harder!

(Please complain here that it's unfair and I'll think about changing it...)

One valid way to pronounce it is to in fact put a stress on that I, so that it becomes "tə-BIL-iss-ee."

Wait... you guys don't hold down the n-key for at least 10 seconds before typing the rest of Antananarivo?

I didn't have the foggiest clue for Kitinga. I still don't understand how that matches Gitega or Kitega.

The "n" is strange, but "Kitiga" is just "Kitega" slightly off.

Nice quiz. For some of the questions I didn't have the slightest idea. Kitinga? Nuhot?

I also didn't get Cairo, although that was the most harmless typo of the whole quiz, but my brain couldn't make the transition from ciaro to cairo...

Norsooltan is a little bit mean, I knew which city was searched for and I also knew the new (old) name, but I assumed that Nur Sultan was asked for, since the type-in was for that name.

Oh jeez, I was lucky that I was able to race through the rest of the quiz really fast, because I spent a good 3 minutes scouring my brain for every world capital that started with an N before finally getting the "nuhot" one with only a few seconds to spare.
