george mikan was the best player from the pioneer era but he retired mid 50s while Neil played the whole decade.I think Mikan is the reason for NBAs marketing success in the early era but he only played the first half of the decade while Johnston was marketed the whole decade so No. Still Neil Johnston for 50s

Honestly guys like Bob Cousy, Bob Pettit, or even George Mikan are way more iconic than Neil Johnston

you probably don't know how famous he is in the 50s. Bob cousy pettit and mikan is way more famous in their legacies but on that era only, you could ask your grandfather how famous johnston is.
