Hint
Answer
In "Casablanca", Claude Rains observed a tragic love triangle. Now he's in the center, surrounded by Ingrid Bergman and Cary Grant.
Notorious
Allegedly, Pierre Boileu and Thomas Narcejac wrote the original novel, "The Living and the Dead" ("D'entre les morts") to be adapted by Hitchcock.
Vertigo
This movie won the Best Picture Oscar; Hitch, however, came out empty-handed in the Best Director category.
Rebecca
There are only ten cuts in the whole movie. The events approximately happen in real time.
Rope
After Hitch had spent a lot of money on his previous projects, he was forced to cut the budget for his new film. He shot it in black and white so he could use chocolate as stage blood.
Psycho
Still silent, but, according to the director himself, the first real Hitchcock movie (and the first one with the cameo). The studio called it "too bad to be shown". When it did hit the screen, after all, some critics said it was the best British film ever.
The Lodger
In a career as long as his, Hitch even had time to remake one of his own movies.
The Man Who Knew Too Much
Only Hitchcock movie to be shot in 3D.
Dial M for Murder
There was only a limited number of characters, as the story takes place in a boat. In order to have his usual cameo, Hitchcock had to show up in a newspaper photo.
Lifeboat
His only comedy. Shares its name with a 2005 action movie starring Brangelina.
Mr. and Mrs. Smith

I don't agree with the notion that Mr. and Mrs. Smith was his only comedy. The Lady Vanishes and The Trouble With Harry both fit the description as well.

Also, Hitch wanted to shoot Psycho in black and white because he was curious to try making a film under TV conditions, as he had spent so much time in TV in recent years at that point.
